Jeff E. Jared
Attorney Jeff E. Jared has been licensed for 32 years and brings a wealth of legal experience to every case. Known for his no-nonsense, client-first approach, he has successfully represented hundreds of clients throughout Washington state. Jeff believes that effective legal representation starts with clear communication, honest guidance, and a deep understanding of each client’s goals.
As a Kirkland native, Jeff takes pride in serving the community he calls home. His local roots give him valuable insight into the legal landscape and the needs of individuals and families throughout Washington.
Jeff is a graduate of Harvard University (1981) and the University of California, San Francisco (1994), where he earned his law degree.
Outside the office, Jeff is an avid world traveler who has visited 90 countries and all 50 states and counting. He also enjoys playing backgammon when time allows.
Michelle Darnell
Paralegal Michelle Darnell provides the personal attention and essential case support that help guide clients through every step of the legal process.
Michelle is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience as a paralegal, especially in family law. At the Law Office of Jeff E. Jared, she provides dedicated senior-level support, including client interfacing, legal drafting, and dedicated mediation and litigation support.
She has a passion for consumer advocacy. She successfully proposed and lobbied for a bill expanding the Washington Foreclosure Fairness Act to include owners of properties with four units or fewer.
In her free time, she stays busy with her large family (3 children and 5 grandchildren), traveling, gardening, cooking, and creative writing.

Yelena Dagaev
Yelena Dagaev is the firm's Legal Assistant and Manager, where she plays an important role in supporting clients and overseeing the daily operations.
She is a graduate of Clemson University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Spanning several industries, Yelena’s expertise includes advertising, marketing, research, and project management. .
Her diverse experience, strong organizational skills, and client-focused approach make her a valuable part of the firm and a steady resource for clients throughout the legal process.
Outside the office, Yelena volunteers in the Senior community. She also enjoys design, reading, and travel.
